Sara Garrison studied at the Kansas City Art Institute under a merit scholarship and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design in 2016. She is the founder, designer, and curator of Likewise Magazine, an interdisciplinary and experimental design project that serves as a curated print media platform for individuals to exhibit their work. She released “Issue Zero” in April 2016 and “Issue One” in April 2017. In addition to her magazine, she is a freelance designer and serving as the Block Fellow at the H&R Block Artspace. Some notable freelance projects include: art directing and designing the 10 Year Anniversary Book for the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and branding ALTER: Artspace. She loves being niched in the fine art world and using her design skills to promote other artists, art organizations, institutions, spaces, exhibitions and events.
